Bringing our Community Face-to-Face

The past couple years have seen us settle into a virtual way of working and delivering our services. So, March 24th was special for us as we gathered IRL with a group of women who were ready to learn, grow and celebrate as a community. We are proud to have brought together both the women who inspire us and the women who will go on to inspire future generations. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate Women’s History Month

For this event, we were joined by a panel of inspiring black women who are all making an impact as leaders in their fields. Our panellists included:

  •  Ella Darlington – Head of Communications and Marketing, Creative Access
  • Michaela Gooden – Ex-footballer and Sports Agent – Mrs Gray
  • Chantelle Daniel – Head of Employment and Skills – Richmond and Wandsworth Council
  • Michaella Jackson – Employer Relationships Manager – Westminster City Council

We were also joined by an amazing host, Charley Jai, who is a presenter, producer and a young person’s guidance coach. Our panel was met by an engaged audience who asked thought provoking questions and were heavy on the note taking. We’re proud to have a community that is so enthusiastic about learning. After the panel wrapped up, we were treated to a live performance of a poem from Antonia A. Ganeva, a member of our own sisterhood. We had an amazing time chatting with all our attendees. Everyone was so excited to network and figure out how we could help each other achieve our goals.

We always say that something truly special happens when a group of like-minded women come together and we’re happy to confirm that could no be more true. We’re so proud of our community and so thankful to everyone who made this event possible. See you at our next one!
